On Saturday, in Pierrefonds, 100 people took part in a peaceful demonstration calling for change and equality regarding racism. The event was organized by Mischa Bertschmann in collaboration with the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.
The march began at the old Riverdale High School building at 1:00 pm and demonstrators continued the route along Pierrefonds boulevard ending at the Pierrefonds library. The attendees included Pierrefonds-Roxboro mayor Jim Beis and Montreal Police. Drivers were encouraged to honk their horns in a show of support for the cause.
The organizers encouraged all participants to respect social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.
