Our presenter, Lesley Cotton, will show the short film “Feisty After Fifty: Women’s Voices,” which was made during a YWCA life stories workshop and a discussion will follow.
Daring to follow one’s desires, create, initiate, engage with life, and choose oneself… these are the gifts of maturity. During this short film presentation, seven women of diverse origins between the ages of 50 and 75 share their stories with wit and audacity through music, poetry, dance, images, and words. Feisty After Fifty:
Women’s Voices was made during a life stories workshop for women over 50 offered by the YWCA of Montreal.
Our presenter, Lesley Cotton, dedicates her lifestyle counselling work to holistic health and personal growth.
All of the Women’s Centre’s seminars are free and open to the general public. Free childcare is also available, but you must register for this service by 3 p.m. the day before the seminar takes place.
This might be something you could sink your teeth into. If you have a chance to screen the documentary (English sub-title version shown on Tuesday) you will have a sense of the material that will inspire discussion https://vimeo.com/141998852
