A woman was arrested on Saturday after assaulting two Pennsylvania state troopers, a casino employee, and a good Samaritan at the Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, police reported. Kaleigh McManus, 33, of New Haven, Conn., was eventually apprehended and charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
McManus was booked at the Washington County jail as per Pennsylvania TV station WHTM. She was subsequently released from custody after posting a $2,000 bond. Her case has been handed over to local prosecutors.
The sequence of events began when McManus entered a restricted area at the Washington, Pa. gaming property. A casino employee approached her, at which point McManus allegedly punched the individual in the face. A good Samaritan intervened, only to be punched twice in the face by McManus.
In an attempt to flee, McManus headed for an emergency exit but was stopped by casino security guards. Two state troopers then tried to arrest her, but she reportedly assaulted them as well before being taken into custody. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the incident.
In a separate event, a man was identified this week after being shot and killed outside a bar and gaming facility in Billings, Montana, on Thursday. The Yellowstone County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 46-year-old Marshall William Wilson died from gunfire.
The violent episode left two other individuals injured by gunfire—one man and one woman—both of whom are expected to recover, according to authorities. The confrontation began with an argument, during which Wilson allegedly shot a 38-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man in a parking lot. The injured woman then attempted to shoot Wilson, but a 25-year-old passerby, witnessing the chaos, fatally shot Wilson. This person’s identity remains undisclosed.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Montana TV station KTVQ. Police were alerted about the incident at 1:52 a.m. on Thursday, and no arrests had been made by the weekend. Billings Police Chief Rich St. John mentioned that the 25-year-old man who shot Wilson could face charges. As of Tuesday, investigations were ongoing.
Authorities noted that none of the individuals involved in the shootings knew each other prior to the altercation. The establishment where the events unfolded was identified as the Reno Club.
