Winnipeg Police Probe City’s 26th Homicide, Victim Identified as Sukhdool Singh Gill


The Winnipeg Police Service has launched an investigation into what is the city’s 26th homicide for the year. The probe officially commenced on Wednesday morning at about 10 a.m., following a distress call from the North Inkster Industrial area.

Upon responding to the call, officers arrived at a residence on the 200 block of Hazelton Drive. Inside the abode, a male individual was tragically discovered dead. After the initial examinations, the deceased was promptly transported to a local hospital, with an autopsy currently in pending status.

The unfortunate victim has been posthumously identified as 39-year-old Sukhdool Singh Gill. His mourning family has since been informed about their devastating loss. As the city reaches a worrisome tally of 26 murders in the year, the dedicated officers of the Winnipeg Police Service continue the relentless pursuit of ensuring justice is served.
