WIC Students Collect Prom Dresses for Les Fées Marraines

2223

West Island College parents, alumni, and students are working together on an event that will change the lives of many Montreal girls.

On February 11th, 2019, a group of volunteers from the WIC community will be collecting prom dresses and accessories for Les Fées Marraines
a Montreal non-profit that collects donations of prom dresses and accessories (shoes, purses, etc.) to provide to girls who could not otherwise afford to attend prom. With the support from WIC, 400 girls in the Montreal area will be able to enjoy the magic of prom.  Les Fées Marraines will use the prom attire collected when they host an event for grade 11 girls to shop like a princess at no cost.

All girls deserve to enjoy and celebrate the successful completion of their high school studies by attending prom and WIC is proud to be supporting this organization and worthy cause.  “Most of us at WIC do not have to worry about paying for our dress, makeup and accessories to enjoy prom and we need to come together to help ensure all girls feel as special on their prom day” added Amanda S., WIC student.
