Who doesn’t love Christmas songs? We hum or whistle along to them whenever they come on. They have a nostalgia and attraction to them.
Sebastian Demrey and Jimmy LaHaie have rearranged some classic carols and songs that have had led them back and forth from Europe and around Canada performing. People have been loving it!
Sebastian Demrey & Jimmy Lahaie have a common vision: bring a fresh sound to Christmas carols by revisiting some of the most beautiful songs of the past centuries.
Wishing to keep an organic sound, the Canadian duo focuses on acoustic guitars, mandolin, acoustic piano, string section, percussions and an upright bass. The band for this concert also features fellow Canadian artist Genevieve Falleur and a renowned Montreal cellist, Carla Antoun who notably recorded with Celine Dion and Cirque du Soleil.
THIS SUNDAY they bring their band together for a local West Island concert with a mix of songs and stories.
Proceeds will be going to West Island Mission. A donation based espresso bar will be provided by La Tazza di Mattina (Roxboro store).
