Local YouTuber Mimi Boyd will be screening an unreleased video at YouTubeMTL’s upcoming Au Grand Screen event at Cinema du Parc. On April 23 the public will be able to get a sneak peak of not-yet-seen videos of six Montreal YouTubers and participate in an exclusive meet-up with the creators.

Mimi has been creating unique YouTube videos since 2008. She started before the advancement of iPhone technology and used a webcam to record herself singing and playing guitar. Gradually she progressed to using a Camcorder and a point-and-shoot camera. She now uses her iPad to record the majority of her videos. An avid American Girl doll collector, Mimi has connected with the AG doll community through Instagram. She creates a variety of YouTube videos including opening (unboxing) videos, hairstyles, DIY, tag videos and vlogs (ie. video blogs). She is passionate photographer and sells greeting cards with her doll photography at the Viva Vida Art Gallery in the Pointe Claire Village.

At Au Grand Screen Mimi will be showing a short film documenting a few of her photo shoots.

The YouTubeMTL community welcomes new members from the Montreal area in all genres who have an active YouTube channel and are currently creating content. For #YouTubeMTL members, entry to the screening event is free. If you want to become a member, you can sign up on their website: http://www.youtubemtl.ca/member

For the public tickets are $5.75 and available on their website:  http://www.youtubemtl.ca/
