What a beautiful morning spent with the community celebrating the hard work and community spirit at the West Island Palliative Care Residence.
Eggs served any way you like them were served up for the eleventh year in a row at Table 09 on April 29, raising funds for the Residence. The breakfast was free while donations poured in at the little box at the door. The fun started at 6 a.m. until 10 a.m.
West Island Palliative Care Residence provides round-the-clock nursing care to terminally ill patients. Since opening 13 years ago, the Residence has cared for more than 3,000 patients and helped more than 10,000 family members face the end of life with pain and symptom management, counselling services and emotional support.
