The West Island Mission’s Food Assistance program continues to support the community throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. They continue to provide food aid to West Islanders and have implemented new measures to ensure the safety of their volunteers, staff and clients.
The Missions says they will be “preparing ‘baskets’ for our clients” instead of having them shop at the grocery store themselves. This all for the objective of reducing the spread of Coronavirus and continuously helping the West Island community in need.
The West Island Mission is a non-profit organization that provides well-balanced, high-quality food assistance and other related aid to the less fortunate living in the West Island of Montreal. In 2015, more than 1900 food baskets were provided to 260 different families in 8 different West Island boroughs.
If you would like to request a basket or become a volunteer, please reach out to the West Island Mission by phone, (514) 912-6813 or email, email@example.com.
