West Island Mission (WIM) is seeking help from the community for its annual “Sponsor a Backpack” program. Held on Saturday, August 12th, this year’s drive aims to aide 220 families made up of 460 children between the ages of 5 and 17.
A $20.00 tax deductible donation can sponsor a backpack filled with supplies needed for the upcoming school year. As well as the supplies, families will receive fresh produce along with milk, bread and toiletry items to help them through this expensive time of year.
