Voyager Digital Ltd. (CSE: VYGR) for the first announced that it would be fully sponsoring NASCAR driver Landon Cassill. The sponsorship will fully be paid in cryptocurrency, led by Litecoin (LTC) and Voyager (VGX). Cassill will race the sponsored JD Motorsports car during the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity series.
Voyager CEO Steve Ehrlich acclaimed Cassill, terming him as a determined and focused driver, who they are honored to partner with, in this season Xfinity Series. Cassill himself is a crypto enthusiast and believes that there should be widespread crypto adoption.
Ehrlich added that Voyager’s goal is to ensure that crypto has multiple uses, ranging from being a valuable form of payment to being an investment asset class.
Cassill will be driving a car fully wrapped with the Voyager brand and will be driven in 19 NASCAR Xfinity Series this season across 16 states. The first race will be on 19th June 2021 at Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway.
