The VOBOC Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization with its office in Pointe-Claire. VOBOC works closely with oncology teams to help empower newly diagnosed Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) cancer patients to improve health outcomes.
VOBOC is seeking a fully bilingual experienced individual with good accounting, communication and organizational skills. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the incumbent will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support by inputting all accounting transactions, bank deposits, reconciling bank statements, prepare monthly reports, prepare grants for submission and provide assistance to our partnership programs and ED.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of accounting experience using QuickBooks, or equivalent, possess good written communication skills, be proficient using MS-Office Excel and Suite programs, be resourceful, take pride in their accuracy and attention to detail, be results oriented and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where flexibility, sensitivity and teamwork are essential to accomplish the shared goals.
This role will appeal to an individual wishing to impact the lives of AYAs with cancer by helping VOBOC maintain and obtain resources to ensure that our programs are accessible to patients in Montreal and help contribute to our expansion plans. A degree in Accounting, or related field, strong administrative skills and some work experience within a nonprofit organization are considered assets.
