CUDIS, a web3 wellness company supported by Draper Associates, has announced a collaboration with UCLA Athletics, a prominent Californian collegiate sports entity, to promote its innovative AI-powered smart rings over the next year. This partnership will involve campus events designed to introduce UCLA students and sports enthusiasts to the technology.

As part of the agreement, CUDIS intends to sign name, image, and likeness agreements with UCLA student-athletes across several sports, including tennis, golf, basketball, gymnastics, and football. This initiative aims to foster discussions about healthy living, performance tracking, and data ownership, while enabling student-athletes to utilize their image to promote the smart rings on various platforms.

The deal will also see CUDIS engaging with UCLA’s fan base through interactive campaigns, such as lucky draw promos at sports events, utilizing the university’s athletic branding to resonate with the community.

CUDIS’s smart rings are based on blockchain technology and offer features like health monitoring, including heart rate, sleep quality, stress levels, and calorie tracking. Built on the Solana network, these rings provide users full ownership of their health data and deliver personalized wellness advice through an integrated AI coach. They also incorporate a rewards system that incentivizes users to adopt healthier behaviors through the accrual of passive rewards.

Edison Chen, CEO of CUDIS, expressed the personal significance of this partnership, highlighting their intent to give back to the UCLA community, where the company’s journey began. The announcement follows a recent round of funding where CUDIS secured $5 million led by Draper Associates and other significant investors.
