
In a shocking incident on a quiet Saturday evening, two men sustained serious injuries due to a stabbing event that took place in Sooke, according to reports by the local Mounties. The police were called to the incident site on the 6600 block of Sooke Road shortly after 6pm.
Upon arriving at the scene, the officers, in conjunction with a few brave members of the public, proceeded to administer first aid to the victims as a stop-gap measure before the arrival of the paramedics. Upon their arrival, the two victims were immediately rushed to the hospital to ensure they received the necessary medical attention.
Preliminary investigations by the authorities have suggested that the incident unfolded as an apparent fall-out of a heated altercation that pitted a group of individuals against one another, culminating in the unfortunate stabbing of the victims. Further probes into the events that precipitated this altercation are currently underway by the police.
In a swift response, the Sooke Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) were able to apprehend a 21-year-old individual who was found in the vicinity and is a suspect in the case. The authorities have conveyed that, upon preliminary examination, the incident seems to be an isolated one, and hence, they believe that there is no ongoing threat posed to the general public.
