In the Manawatu town of Bunnythorpe, a serious car crash led to five people being hospitalized. Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after being alerted at 2:15 PM. Two individuals, in critical condition, were flown by air ambulance to Wellington Hospital. Meanwhile, three others sustained serious injuries and were transported by road to Palmerston North Hospital.
