As the water continues to rise in Ste. Anne-de-Bellevue Mayor Paola Hawa is grateful for the City of Kirkland that has stepped up and lent two city trucks to their neighbours in need.

“We are evacuating vulnerable seniors starting this afternoon,” Hawa stated. “The most hard hit so far is Rue Ste. Anne by the church.”

There will be a public information session on TUESDAY, MAY 9TH AT 7 :30 PM at the Parish Hall located at 1, Rue De l’Église regarding financial assistance for disaster victims. Ministère de la sécurité publique officials will conduct this meeting. Following the information session, temporary disaster relief offices will be located on the second floor of Centre Harpell, 60 Rue St-Pierre on May 10th and 11th from 9 am to 9 pm. Representatives of the Ministère de la sécurité publique will answer questions from citizens and assist in completing their application forms.
