A few minutes ago, Quebec released various projections on the spread of COVID-19.
According to the assumptions of public health authorities, our province is expected to reach the top of the coronavirus spread curve around April 18th.
An optimistic scenario projects 29,212 confirmed cases and 1,263 deaths by the end of April, while a more pessimistic outcome projects 59,845 and 8,860 cases respectively over the same period.
On a Facebook post published a few hours ago, Legault states that “We should not be alarmed by the number of deaths that could occur in the worst-case scenario. On the contrary, we must continue all our efforts to keep Quebec closer to the best scenarios.”
Let’s keep up with our social distancing efforts.
