In a startling development, three individuals have been apprehended following the discovery of a Guelph man, previously listed as missing, deceased. The man, only revealed by authorities as a 45-year-old named Kenny, is now the centre of a homicide investigation. Close companions have since identified him as Kenny Wright.
Wright’s abrupt demise has left his circles grappling with a myriad of emotions. “It’s senseless,” lamented Candiss Pettitt, one of his friends, unable to fathom the loss. Pettitt painted a heartfelt picture of Wright as a cherished father, caring brother, and an affectionate son.
The tragic incident still seems surreal to those who knew Wright. They remember him as a compassionate and outgoing individual whose absence has created a chasm in many lives. The news of the investigation suspecting foul play further augments their disbelief.
Guelph Police have revealed that Wright’s remains were discovered in an undisclosed location beyond the city’s borders on October 27th. Between October 8th and 14th, investigative activities were concentrated on his residence on Guelph Street.
Among the arrested are a 43-year-old man, a 39-year-old man, and a 47-year-old woman, all occupants of Guelph, charged as accessories after the fact of murder. The authorities maintain a familiar connection between the victim and those arrested.
In the course of the investigation, law enforcement dedicated six days of study to the scene at Wright’s Guelph Street domicile without officially identifying the property’s owner.
“We’re confident that it was a homicide,” confirmed police spokesperson Scott Tracey, attributing his assertion to evidence from the scene and subsequent inquiries. The police, however, refrained from disclosing the factors that led them to Wright’s remains or the cause of death.
The police categorize the incident as a ‘targeted incident’ indicating no further risk to public safety. Details regarding other potential suspects or further charges remain unclear at this stage. Tracey emphasized their unwavering commitment to the ongoing investigation, hinting it might unearth more information over time.
