Theodore Too warmed the hearts of fans on P.E.I. Sunday, as a constant stream of parents and children stopped by Summerside’s dock to see and photograph the beloved TV character’s replica.
The 20-meter smiling tugboat left on Thursday for its new home in Hamilton, Ontario, after 21 years in Halifax.
It is set to leave Summerside on Monday morning and is expected to make another stop in Richibucto, N.B.
Onlookers weren’t allowed to board the boat on Sunday due to COVID-19 measures.
The restriction was a little disappointing for Ray Cullen, a 10-year old who toured the boat when it was in Halifax.
Nevertheless, Ray, who likes Theodore because he’s “kind,” wasn’t going to miss the chance at least to see the smiling tugboat up close one more time.
Ray said,
“I’ve been a fan of him ever since I was little.”
Aneesa Ramsay was also present at the dock taking pictures with Felix— her two-year-old son. For Aneesa Ramsay seeing Theodore brought back fond memories.
“We used to go to Halifax as kids to see it so I figured we might as well keep the tradition going and take him while he could see it here.”
