THE 17TH EDITION OF THE WEST ISLAND BLUES FESTIVAL WILL ROCK VIRTUALLY DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Montreal, June 26, 2020 – “Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the requirement for social distancing, the West Island Blues Festival will be holding its first Virtual Festival on July 11, 2020. This will be the 17th edition of the West Island Blues Festival.
We are committed to having a festival every year and to donating all profits to local charities. So, in spite of the pandemic, we are determined to raise funds and distribute them to our beneficiaries who are desperately in need of funds during this crisis.
The following organizations will benefit from the proceeds of this year’s virtual show:
- West Island Black Community Association (WIBCA)
- The Alzheimer Group
- Action Jeunesse de l’Ouest-de-l’Île (AJOI)
- West Island Women’s Shelter
- Literacy Unlimited
