The Mysterious Package: Unraveling the Hidden Life of a Sicamous Man with a Dangerous Secret

9

A man from Sicamous, British Columbia, faces multiple firearms and drug trafficking charges following the interception of a suspicious package by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). In April, border officers at Vancouver International Airport seized three prohibited items in a package addressed to the individual, who is under a lifetime firearms prohibition. Subsequent searches conducted in June, in collaboration with the RCMP, led to the discovery of two restricted firearms, a spring-loaded baton, a stun gun, and significant quantities of illegal narcotics from the man’s vehicle and boat. Charged with nine offenses, including four counts of possession of drugs for trafficking, the man is scheduled to appear in court in Salmon Arm, B.C., on January 7.
