Table de Quartier Sud de l’Ouest de l’Île gives the community a say

More than 80 people attended the priority selection event of the Table de Quartier Sud de l’Ouest de l’Île (TQSOI) held on Saturday, November 28. Community partners serving the young, adult and senior clientele of the West Island, as well as citizens and elected officials came together to reflect and choose the priorities to be included in a 5-year action plan.

According Alena Ziuleva coordinator of TQSOI this exercise helped to give specific directions to the territorial social development planning efforts of the TQSOI.

The priorities selected, in order of votes received, were transport, health & social services, poverty and social exclusion, affordable housing and food security.

These themes will be further explored during meetings of the working committees that will prepare the action plan of interventions to be presented to the public by Spring 2016.
