A resident of Quebec, who was accused of kidnapping his 3-year-old boy, causing police to issue a province-wide Amber Alert that went on for a number of days, has been found, a police report says.
The Surete du Quebec (SQ) issues a statement noting that at about 12 pm, the abductor, 36-year-old David Cote, was apprehended. The report also said that child was in the same residence as the father, and was not injured in anyway. The child was sent to the mother, the released said.
Last Sunday, police said they had contacted the suspect, who was hidden at a residence along the de la Coulee Carrier Road, Saint-Paule.
Police subdue the suspect immediately upon locating his hideout, the SQ’s report read.
