Summer in our fabulous climate brings with it the wonderful tastes of local produce, cultivated right here at home. At The Bijou in Dorval, you can expect only the best gastronomical pleasures on your plate when you order the Chef’s summertime basket.
Baskets feature delectable chef-crafted dishes, served every night in the month of July, starting at $45 per person. I have included the menu below as it is quite extensive making the evening not only exquisite but very well priced. Dining on Thursdays has the added bonus of live music.
I started with the steak tartar served with horseradish, capers, and quail eggs. I am fussy about my tartar and I loved it. Not too spicy, just right. Next, I enjoyed the grilled scallops with lemon tabbouleh. Fresh and light. Dan had the Quebec tomatoes salad with zucchini flower. As expected the flavours of our province came shining through. Nothing like a Quebec tomato! Next, he had the steak with the onion ring and grilled portobello mushrooms. It is just too yummy to describe. You must try….
There is wine pairing available for those extra special dining experiences. Parking is complimentary for up to four hours. Frankly, I plan on making a mini-vacation out of my birthday this year and stay overnight!
