Lucie Hamel is on a mission. She believes food is not just something that sustains our body, but feeds our spirit. With her recent launch of La Mie Bio Boulangerie Artisanale in the Pointe Claire Village she aims to bring healthy organic food to individuals and families on the west island.
La Mie Bio offers organic breads and baked goods from Le Fromentier in the Plateau Mont Royal. There is an array of classic pastries and specialty items such as spelt croissants for the health conscious and maple ones for the sweet tooth! They also offer a line of raw vegan items from Crudessence.
The ready-to-eat counter has a wide selection of nitrate-free charcuterie, quiches, spreads and soups. There is non-pasteurized yogurt from a local farm that respects the environment and is pesticide-free. There are many gluten-free and lactose-free products and new items will be added depending on customer needs. Lucie will be adding her own home-made treats and is available for catering.
There is an extensive fresh sandwich menu made with organic local ingredients. Look forward to picnic boxes that will be available soon. Perfect for a picnic by the water.
La Mie Bio is located in a quaint house on Lakeshore Road just west of Cartier. Lucie is delighted to provide a family environment that encourages children to discover delicious, healthy food. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. There is a view towards of lake and plenty of parking in the back. There will be terrace seating in front when the weather permits.
