Heat warning and humidity alerts have been placed by the Weather Network. A warm and humid air mass has been covering Southern Quebec since the last few days. These temperatures will persist through Tuesday evening and causing oppressive heat. Combined values of the temperature and the humidity will give humidex values near 40.
The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Stay in cool and hydrated as much as possible.
