Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the areas of Châteauguay, Laval, Longueuil and Montréal.
Early this morning, Environment Canada updated Monday’s weather statement to expected snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 centimetres.
“Please note that snow may be wet or mixed with rain overnight tonight. Precipitations will change over to more sustained snow early Thursday morning.”
Also “expect poor travelling conditions due to low visibility and rapidly accumulating snow on roads, especially Thursday morning. Consider changing your travel plans. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.”
