A Las Vegas man to appear in court this week for allegedly choking and punching his ex-girlfriend. The incident occurred last weekend at Sahara Las Vegas hotel-casino. Brandon Dangerfield, 33, will appear in court on Tuesday.
In the same incident, Dangerfield was shot critically by one of the women who came to help the victim. She grabbed Dangerfield’s firearm shot him as he assaulted the victim.
According to Review Journal, Dangerfield also pushed her face to the carpet in the hallway. He further punched her in the face. Dangerfield was shot in the torso and had to undergo emergency surgery at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Police are still investigating the incident, and it is still unclear which of the women fired the shot. Dangerfield allegedly crashed a party the ex-girlfriend was holding in the hotel. According to Review-Journal, he threatened to shoot them if the ex-girlfriend refused to come out.
Dangerfield has been released from the hospital and is held at Clark County Detention Center. He will be charged with domestic battery by choking.
In another incident, a man was killed at a bar off the Las Vegas Strip last weekend at PT’s Place, Decatur Boulevard. The victim has been identified as Timothy Hartley and the perpetrator Antony Balderas, 24.
In a court appearance last week, Balderas was ordered to be held without bail. Police were able to identify him through a debit card he left at the bar. Police have not yet identified the motive of the shooting.
