This summer I was asked to act as an ambassador for the West Island, in a contest put on by Desjardins called Viva Montreal. The contest allows a panel of twelve ambassadors to choose three people, organizations or businesses that contribute to the community. I was rather honoured to be chosen. Once I got over the fact that I was nominated, I then had to sit down to the task of choosing. Not an easy task considering my work exposes me to so many wonderful people and organizations that are worthy of acknowledgment.
There is still time for you to make your favourite charity known for the contest – you will see a link at the end of the article that allows you to shine light on your choice. Everyone can nominate one person or organization that they feel is noteworthy. The list is growing. It is a fun thing to do and the charity stands to win a monetary prize.
