On Tuesday evening, Environment Canada issued a watch of a severe thunderstorm for Montreal and the surrounding regions. Residents are being requested to monitor the weather in their area.
The weather agency posted the notice at 9:17 p.m. they added that the watch would be in effect until Wednesday morning.
The regions that were included in the weather notice include Longueuil, La Prairie, and Laval. The agency claimed that conditions were favorable for severe thunderstorms developing that could trigger strong winds, heavy rain, and large hail.
Montreal has also been under intense heat that is expected to settle down Wednesday afternoon. The island temperature for Wednesday was forecasted to be 19 degrees Celsius and a humidex of 30.
