Given the immense success of the À-Ma-Baie Public Market last year, the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro has announced the opening of a second public market that will serve the residents of Pierrefonds-Roxboro. This market will be located at Du Château-Pierrefonds Park every Sunday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., July 8 – September 9, 2018.
Every week, the two public markets in Pierrefonds-Roxboro will feature various agricultural producers and agri-food processors from Québec. This year, 15 merchants will be participating in the À-Ma-Baie Public Market. As for the Château-Pierrefonds Public Market, its merchants will include Ferme Joly, Maison Mallet and GeoEvoo. This will therefore be an opportunity for visitors to discover their products, discuss with them and learn about their practices.
“Public markets provide our Borough’s residents with an excellent chance to talk to local producers and agricultural artisans in a friendly atmosphere. I am delighted to see the opening of a second public market that will allow a greater number of residents to have access to always fresh and diversified products and, in addition, to contribute to the local economy,” mentioned Dimitrios (Jim) Beis, Mayor of the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.
This Borough project has been made possible thanks to the invaluable collaborative efforts of its partners: Ma Communauté En Santé, a committee working for the adoption of healthy lifestyles, the éco-quartier and the GUEPE organization.
