Coordinated at the company level by Tania Jaman, Learning Facilitator at Rogers Communications, in collaboration with Volunteer West Island’s Corporate Volunteer Program, enthusiastic employee-volunteers recently turned out to lend a much-needed hand organizing book donations in preparation for the annual spring Mega Book Fair at Centre Multi-ressources de Lachine. This is the centre’s main fundraiser, helping to finances crucial programs and services the Centre provides for the families and elderly of Lachine.
Maud Marquer, Volunteer Coordinator at CMRL, warmly praised the contributions of the Rogers volunteers whom she described as highly motivated and most effective, thanking them for their greatly appreciated assistance. She praised the Rogers team, saying, “they more than met our expectations. Their dynamism, their efficiency and their initiative made it possible to sort, classify and put away some fifty boxes of books in the preparation for our fundraiser”.
