On Thursday, September 29th at 7 pm at Centre Harpell, there will be a second public information session concerning road construction works on Saint-Pierre Street. On this evening, we will present the extent of the work, detour routes and detailed schedule.
In summary, the redesign of Saint-Pierre Street, between Du Collège and Saint-Antoine Streets, is to develop advanced sidewalks for pedestrian crossings bordering Parc Harpell and Marché Richelieu. These works are initially intended to encourage motorists who wish to take Sainte-Élisabeth and/or Saint-Pierre Streets to reduce speed and also to decrease the distance of pedestrian crosswalks, while enhancing their visibility.
