Few activities embody the virtues and discipline of sports with female camaraderie as ringette does. If you are looking for an activity that will develop your daughter’s self-confidence, assuredness, and social skills, while improving her physical condition and general wellbeing, then ringette is for you! The Pointe Claire Ringette Association is for girls from Pointe Claire, Dorval, and Lachine.
Pointe Claire Ringette offers not only on-ice practices and games but also off-ice physical training and assessments by professional trainers. The association provides various skills development workshops and power skating practices included with your registration.
Ringette is a safe team sport that allows girls to build personal connections and sustain friendships throughout their lives, in addition to the physical and mental benefits of staying physically active. Through bonding activities such as team outings, breakfast after morning practices, and tournaments in other Canadian cities, ringette aims to create lasting relationships between the girls and the parents.
Christiane Martel describes her 21-year-old daughter’s experience, saying: “my daughter has made lifelong friends and developed leadership abilities that have helped her in every sphere of her life”.
If you are interested in seeing what ringette is all about, come to the Pointe Claire Ringette Association’s open house on August 27th, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. All you need to bring is a pair of skates, a helmet (bike helmet, ski helmet, baseball helmet, etc), and some gloves!
We hope to see you there!
