Knights of Columbus Charity BBQ
The newly formed Knight of Columbus Lakeshore Council hosted a full house of more than 170 parishioners and friends on Sept. 21. The inclement weather did not deter the fun and delicious BBQ fare served up after mass at St. Edmund’s Church on St. Charles Boulevard in Beaconsfield.

Girl’s Glam Night to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the West Island

Francesca Corso, executive director of BBBSWI, promised a girl’s night out for girls of all ages and her team delivered. Ladies came out to have their hair styled, their make-up done, and mini manicures and of course a glam photo shoot.
Raffle prizes for those that got their glam passport signed by each kiosk included a box of yummy cupcakes, a faux-fur purse, jewellery and much more.

The $30 ticket price also included cocktails and appetizers from Le Club West Island. Several exhibitors were also handing out everything from beauty samples to decadent deserts.

Igotajumpstartontheholiday gifts that I like to get done before it gets too crazy in the big stores. Taste tests were available for all kinds of goodies like olive oil, a variety of spaghetti sauce, candy apples and cookies from over 30 vendors.
