1Greenwood’s StoryFest


Each year, Greenwood Centre’s StoryFest Committee volunteers organize a remarkable lineup of distinguished and engaging authors, poets, storytellers, and films to be part of the StoryFest schedule. It’s an autumn event not to be missed!

2SPCA Ouest’s Ties & Tails Gala

October 4th celebrates National Pet Day. What a perfect opportunity to get together and celebrate our shared love and passion for the furry friends in our lives. The night will begin with a classy cocktail hour followed by a gourmet meal (vegan options available) with entertainment and will conclude with an abundant sweet table, DJ and dancing.

3Ile-Bizard Mayor Golf Tournament

The Mayor of L’Île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève, Mr. Normand Marinacci, and the borough council members invite you to the golf tournament of the Mayor of L’Île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève. Participation is reserved for all citizens and/or sponsors who would like to offer their support and generosity for the success of this annual event. The funds raised during this event will be donated to social, sports, recreation and cultural organizations in the area and will be used exclusively to support their projects and activities.

4A Concert for Kids with Cancer

Léandre Gaucher, a ten-year-old violinist who recently underwent treatment for brain cancer, unites with some talented musicians for a concert to support children fighting cancer. All proceeds of this concert will be donated to Sarah’s Fund for Cedars, an organization that supports the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology department at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

5West Island Palliative Care Gourmet Dinner & Wine Auction

Wine auction

The evening begins with a cocktail including an oyster bar followed by a gourmet dinner with accompanying wines, after which there will be an auction of fine wines and other exclusive items.

7West Island Cancer Center Hero Run

Hero Run

The West Island Cancer Wellness Centre returns for its Hero Run: a 5-km. fundraising family walk/run in Kirkland. Children (or children at heart) are invited to dress up as their favourite superhero. Be a hero for cancer wellness on Saturday, October 12th, 2019, starting at 1 pm.

10Baie D’Urfé Curling Club Gathering of Artisans

35 juried crafters, pottery, children’s book author, wind chimes, chocolate, condiments, hot sauces, woodworking, decorative painting, sewing, jewellery, and many more. A light lunch available in the Club House. The Baie-d’Urfé Potters Guild will be exhibiting in the Whiteside Taylor Center 20551 Lakeshore Rd., next door to the Red Barn. The West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped is their charity this year.
