 WICAC Misson Statement

West Island Crusade against Cancer is a small but energetic registered charity that has been raising funds since 1996.

The primary purpose of the WICAC is to provide a monetary donation annually to our chosen charities,  currently West Island Palliative Care Residence (specifically their food program), NOVA West Island (funding their Child bereavement Program and Camp Carousel), and the Canadian Cancer Society.

 WICAC is a non-profit organization.

WICAC is run by volunteers, working without financial recompense.

Monies are raised through a series of events throughout the year which include dart and softball tournaments, pub quizzes, fun run, squash-a-thon and our cornerstone event the Annual Gala .

Our founder Jim Morrison started the charity as a way to pay back for the care that both his father and uncle received before they succumbed to cancer.
