February is the month of love, and boy do we  all of the wonderful fun there is to be had in and around the West Island this month! There are tons of winter carnivals and Valentine’s Day celebrations such as Sammy’s Valentine’s Gala co-hosted by our very own Rhonda Massad. Read on for all the February fun!

1Dollard Winter Carnival

The perfect event to skate on a large rink with friends and family, to the rhythm of the music from a live DJ, with light effects. Enjoy a heated igloo to put your skates on, taffy on the snow, a bonfire and see fire-breather!

2Fairy Tea Party

In a magical little place, not too far away, a special fairy princess is coming for the day. With a sprinkle of pixie dust and a wave of her wand, this Fairy Tea Party will be lots of fun! 3Winter Festival at Aumais Park

Enjoy the outdoor pleasures of winter with your family. Skating, inflatable rides, sledding, snow sculptures and many more activities await children young and old. Warm-up with some free hot chocolate and delicious taffy on the snow. Hungry? Pass by the BBQ ($) to benefit the Rugby Club.

4Kirkland Winter Carnival

8Sammy’s Valentine’s Gala Fundraiser

Sammy’s Valentine’s Gala, one of the most exciting events of the year is back!  This evening of fantastic food and entertainment aims to raise funds to help find a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), the number one genetic killer of children under the age of two. 9Climate Change and Real Estate

Marie-Josée Larocque and Linda Sestock of Royal LePage Village are proud to present the 2020 edition of the Montreal & West island Conference on “Climate Change and Real Estate”. 10AJOI Casino and Poker Tournament

For its 4th edition, the 2020 Poker Tournament/Casino Night aims to raise the record amount of $50,000 to finance Ricochet, whose mission is to create housing resources for young people aged 18 to 35 who live with residential instability in the West Island. This event will mark the end of the #OneBrickAtATime campaign, which began on October 18, 2019, with Caisse Desjardins de l’Ouest-de-l’Île as its main partner.

11Parent & Child Valentine’s Baking Workshop

Decorate special Valentine’s day Cookie cards and help create a chef’s hat with your child! This course is open to kids aged 3-11 years who want to spend quality time with there loved ones! $25.50 if you book in advance or $30 for one adult and one child. Includes all ingredients and craft. Minimum of 8 groups (adult and child) for the activity to take place. Bring an apron and a hat. Long hair should be tied back.
