The City of Dorval adopted a first draft resolution concerning the construction of a six-storey residential building at the corner of Cloverdale Avenue and Lakeshore Drive late last year.   On April 12, 300 qualified voters turned up to make sure that did not happen.

The proposed zoning change sparked the interest of Dorval residents back in January when 100 people showed up for a public consultation. The project would have included a 63 unit building with 108 parking spots that would have been mainly underground and accessible from Cloverdale Ave.

The zoning that will remain in place allows for a  maximum of three storeys in the village area and two storeys on Cloverdale.
