A 21-year-old Regina man has been charged after a fatal hit-and-run in the city late Friday night.
It took place near the corner of Sixth Avenue and Hamilton Street, in the city’s Warehouse district, at about 11 p.m. CST.
A woman, 67, who was crossing the Sixth Avenue was struck by a westbound car, according to police.
Officers say the car then fled the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital, but died from her injuries. Officers haven’t revealed her name.
Police found the car and arrested the suspect on Monday.
The accused has been charged with failure to stop after a collision resulting in death. Officers say the investigation is ongoing.
