A resident of Quebec has died after he was involved is a grisly accident on Saturday evening in Monteregie, Montreal.
Emergency services received an alert at about 5:30 in the evening that an individual who was using a pontoon boat had fallen overboard in the St. Lawrence River, and had sustained serious injuries.
When help reached him, other boaters were already doing their best to resuscitate the 50-year-old but was pronounced dead upon reaching the emergency room.
Police said that they have initiated an investigation of the matter to find out why the man’s life ended so tragically.
