The immigration ministry of Quebec said Tuesday evening that the province expects about 300 Afghan refugees.
Quebec’s Premier, Francois Legault, state on social media Sunday that the province was prepared to welcome Afghan refugees, especially women who are facing persecution back at home.
The immigration ministry added that the Quebec is currently organizing a reception with a number of partner organizations. Immigration minister Nadine Girault they intent to have everything ready so that the reception is smooth.
