With declining infection rates, Quebec’s health officials said that the province is now in the green phase of its re-opening plans.
With that comes the easing of current COVID-19 measures.
But, health officials said people should continue observing physical distancing and have their masks on if they are not fully immunized.
Some of the freedom that people will be able to enjoy going forward include a maximum of 10 person from three different homes can gather together in a private home. A maximum of 20 will be able to gather outside on private property like in backyards.
At most 250 persons will be allowed to gather at a wedding event provided they will be seated during the event. Physical distancing has to be observed at all time, and guests must not move around unnecessarily. Reception will be able to accommodate at most 25 persons indoors and 50 outside.
At most 250 will be allowed to attend a funeral, although everyone is required to stay in their seats. Condolence or viewings must not have a rotation of more than 50 person.
Health officials noted that some measures will still apply to bars and restaurants, including allowing at most 50 percent of capacity, keeping a keeping current a list of all patron and ensuring there is adequate social distancing at their tables.
Restaurants won’t be allowed to sell alcoholic drinks past midnight, while dancing and karaoke must end before 2am.
