These new cases include three travellers. Two of them are in their 20s and one is aged between 10 and 19. The Chief Public Health Office released a statement:
“Two of the individuals are in their 20s and the other individual is between the ages of 10 and 19. One of the cases travelled within Atlantic Canada and two of the cases travelled outside Atlantic Canada. Contact tracing is underway.”
It is unknown whether those three people have received a vaccine before getting infected. Prince Edward Island reported 211 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March 2020. There were two hospitalizations and no deaths in the province during that period.
