A wave of astonishment surged across the social media landscape as an up-and-coming video platform, Wweevv, dropped a surprising revelation on their Instagram feed: “Roxy is out.” This cryptic message referred to the departure of the self-anointed PR Queen, Roxy Jacenko.

Positioning itself as the “new social video integration platform,” Wweevv made it known that they’d commandeered the Sweaty Betty PR Instagram account fostered by Jacenko, boasting a healthy base of over 98,000 followers.

Comment threads were rife with speculation, with several Instagram users questioning the authenticity of the announcement and suspecting a hacking scheme. However, Jacenko confirmed this change during her interaction with NCA NewsWire on Tuesday, stating, “Wweevv has taken over my Sweaty Betty PR Instagram account. The business ceased trading in November 2022 as I retired from PR.”

Jacenko shared last November that she was bidding farewell to her directorial role at Sweaty Betty – the Sydney-based PR firm she founded at the young age of 24. The 43-year-old mother-of-two further elucidated her intentions to shift focus toward her digital influencer talent management agency, Ministry of Talent, and home goods brand, XRJCelebrations.

Since these transitions, Jacenko relocated to Singapore with her family. Over the years, the flamboyant and high-profile Jacenko had her share of both acclaim and heated confrontations, including public fallouts with Stephanie Rice and Francesca Packer, to endure, in addition to a sudden cancer diagnosis and a spiteful graffiti onslaught.

After her husband, Oliver Curtis, landed in jail due to insider trading in 2016, Jacenko was confronted with a breast cancer diagnosis weeks later. Following a public showcase of her struggle against the disease on 60 Minutes, which involved radiation therapy and an operation, Jacenko triumphantly announced her victory over cancer.

Scandal revisited Jacenko in 2019 when she fell victim to a series of defamatory graffiti attacks on her home and office premises in North Bondi and Paddington respectively, leading to two men in their forties being apprehended and charged for the incidents.

Adding to the family narrative is Jacenko’s 12-year-old daughter, Pixie, who recently semi-retired from running her successful accessory brand, Pixie’s Bows. This young entrepreneur, who also acts as an ambassador for Mermade Hair and boasts a $270,000 Mercedes Benz, has made waves in her own right.

In disclosing further personal challenges, Jacenko revealed last month a harrowing experience brought on by an overdose of Ozempic – a controversial diabetes drug not approved for weight loss in Australia but often employed for that purpose due to its weight loss aiding abilities. Jacenko alerted the public against the misuse of the drug after suffering severe reactions that left her trembling and vomiting uncontrollably.
