219

Police in Montreal are investigating a case of suspected cat killing in the Park Extension area Sunday.

The SPVM’s spokesperson said a call was made to the emergency number 911 at about 4pm to report gunshots and a cat that had sustained injuries. Police arrived on scene and found the cat already dead right behind Querbes, Ball Avenue, but could not immediately confirm that shots had gone off.

An individual claiming to be neighbors with the cat’s parent shared about the cat in the neighborhood’s Facebook page, noting that the cat was quite friendly and never bothered anyone.

Based on the information in the post, the cat was hit and killed by a pellet or bb gun. But officers wo had visited the scene said it was quite early to say.
