Amber Alert that police issued for missing 3-year-old boy who was reported missing in Bas-Saint-Laurent Area, Quebec, has been widened to cover the greater Quebec area and parts of New Brunswick.
Police in Quebec say 3-year-old Jake Cote disappeared on the 31st of August, 1pm, in Saint-Paule municipality.
The Surete du Quebec (SQ) said noted Wednesday they had extended their search for the boy province-wide. Police also asked residents of Restigouche, Gloucester and Madawaska to call in if they spot the child or the alleged abductor.
Police said the child has short brown hair, and weighs 30lbs. When he disappeared, Jake had on a blue t-shirt, beige boots and dark blue jeans.
The alleged abductor, David Cote, aged 36, is 5’7” tall, has short brown hair, blue eyes and weight approximately 180lbs.
He last had on a dark sweater and black army type pants. Police also said he was last seen in a hand-painted, dirty all terrain vehicle that they have since found.
Police urged to be careful as they consider David to be armed and dangerous.
