PokerStars, one Canadian gambling leader has announced that local players can have access to the operator’s gaming services. The gambling giant will be launching both PokerStars casino and PokerStars Sports betting for its Canadian clients.
The company has already started sending promotional messages to local bettors who have been admirers of the PokerStars brand. The company was established in 2001, and for a while has experienced a drop in player level and interests.
In the last several days, the gambling giant has sent numerous emails with a bonus offer to existing players each worth CA$5. Newly registered players are also eligible for bonuses and up to 100 free spins. They have also rewarded Canadians a $10 bonus for the first deposit on the platform.
PokerStars introduced sports wagering in 2015 under the brand name BetStars. However, Canadian have been unable to access vertical betting since it was prohibited under the law. The move comes at the right time- just when the country is about to changes its gambling regulations to allow single-event sports betting.
The platform will be accessible remotely, and the operator seems eager to take over the new market once Bill C-218 advances. In Canada, casinos are operated by provinces Crown corporations, but in Ontario, they have already started privatizing the iGaming sector.
The stake is high as Canadians closely monitoring the single event wagering situation. The approval of Bill C-218 will transform new market possibilities. That bill has already been introduced in the Senate, a body that must review and pass the bill.
