The City of Pointe-Claire, is pleased to announce that Pointe-Claire’s Desjardins half marathon brought together over 2,000 runners and raised $18,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Montreal. The event took place on June 18.
“Jogging enthusiasts were able to discover, or rediscover, the charms of our city through the variety of routes offered,” explained Mayor Trudeau. “It was also a chance to move, meet new people, support a major cause and take care of yourself.”
All proceeds from the event were given to the Alzheimer Society of Montreal to fund various assistance programs for people with this disease and their caregivers, families and friends.
“We would like to thank the many partners and volunteers who made this first half marathon a success. See you next year,” concluded Mayor Trudeau.
