Pointe Claire will host the 9th Family Fun and Safety Day. The event will take place on Terra-Cotta Avenue on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This annual event is an opportunity for over 800 families to discover the community resources that are available to them both in and near Pointe-Claire,” says Mayor Trudeau. “It’s an awareness-raising day, and there are all kinds of activities related to our mission of providing for residents’ health and safety.”
The event will include over twenty information stalls and activities focusing on safe behaviour at home, in public places or in the water.
In addition to members of the Municipal Inspection Bureau, the Volunteer Rescue Unit, the Canoe Club, the Aquatic Centre, the Parks Program and the Aid for Seniors Program, police officers from the Pointe-Claire police station, PDQ 5, will be on hand to give advice. Many community organizations will also be represented.
“The health and safety of our population is very important to us,” says the mayor. “We hope you’ll join us for a day of activities focusing on safety, prevention and fun. It’s on Terra-Cotta Avenue, starting at 10 a.m., on September 12.”
